Here are just a couple from yet another gorgeous maternity session I shot last week! What a fun session! You can tell by the light that we had an insanely gorgeous evening to work with. I will definitely have to come back and share more of this session!

How cute is their little one? She was adorable with those big brown eyes, but wasn’t so sure about the camera lady at first…

What a gorgeous evening!  This is by the lake in Washington Park, it was just beautiful. I love the peaceful look on her face in this one.

Here is just one from an awesome maternity session downtown last week. This couple was the cutest ever, and so nice! We had a ton of fun laughing during our session (and even went for ice-cream). But at the very end we ended up in Cheesman Park right as the sun was setting. It was SO beautiful and this shot took my breath away right when I downloaded it! It doesn’t get much more beautiful than this evening. Denver is so beautiful!

This mama-to-be told me during our session that she didn’t think she had “the glow”. I think she certainly did, and after seeing these I’m sure you will agree that she is absolutely glowing! She looks amazing!

This maternity session took place up in beautiful Evergreen, CO. I hadn’t ever been there and was really looking forward to our session. However, the afternoon of the session we had some crazy thunderstorms roll in, but thought that per the usual Colorado style, they would move on out by 7:00pm and we could get outside for some sunset shots. Well, we were sort of wrong in that it drizzled throughout much of the session! The sun did finally show itself for about 2 minutes at the end of our session, resulting in the following little gems! Some of my faves!

A & J, it was great meeting you both and you were troopers for going out in the rain! I hope you like your sneak peek and can’t wait to meet your little one soon!

This gorgeous momma-to-be was absolutely radiant at our session this past weekend! Here are a couple…I’m having a hard time narrowing them down, there were so many keepers! It was great meeting you guys and can’t wait to meet your little one in a few weeks! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Do you remember this gorgeous baby bump? I am finally getting the rest of these finished up to go with that one!

This is my glowing baby sister, who is due shortly with a baby girl. She lives down in Arizona, and while I was there for a visit we did a marathon maternity session. I got so many great images I had a hard time narrowing them down to what would fit in one post! So I resorted to a really long post with a ton of pictures! As you can see, we had a blast finding fun spots with some desert/southwestern flair. C & T, I hope you like them as much as I do!

These few were taken at the Sahuaro National Monument. We encountered all kinds of critters and even heard a swarm of bees, so our time to get the shots was limited. We moved on to another (safer) location pretty quickly!

Then we did some indoor studio type stuff (all natural light):

This one I couldn’t decide whether I liked it better in color or black & white. With a pink feathered boa, you would think color was the clear choice, but I love the texture of the feathers in the black and white. So I’m showing both!

And we did a little Lifestyle Photography incorporating her pregnancy craving! I thought these turned out super fun, and I’m really starting to love lifestyle maternity photography.

Lastly, we headed over to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch, a local ranch/hotel where you can stay and relax and experience the Southwest up close and personal. I hadn’t ever shot on the grounds before, but there were so many great locations, all with fantastic Southwest flavor.

This is one of my favorites, I’m loving the wagon wheel with the soft, muted colors!

I met this cute couple last week for some maternity portraits in Cathedral Park in N. Portland. We had a fun time at this shoot, trying to shoot around the Shakespeare festival cast that was rehearsing in the park that day. We weren’t sure what to do when they brought out their swords…as we didn’t yet realize what was going on. We had a fun time trying to pose without getting in their way!

This first photo I just love, love, love. Just something about it that I keep coming back to.

This next shot was with the King Lear actors in the background, can you tell? They were right there under the bridge supports..had to do some creative cropping (aka squatting)!

It was fun meeting you guys, and can’t wait to meet your little one in July.

I spent much of early May down in Arizona visiting family, and caught this little gem of my pregnant little sister in her backyard pool! I took way too many shots though, and now I’m swamped with client work and getting through all of these. I’ve got some real gems from her awesome Arizona Maternity Session coming soon…so stay tuned!

I met this sweet family over the weekend at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in SE Portland. This was my first time shooting there, and in 70 degree weather in April! Talk about gorgeous. I wasn’t the only photographer with the same great idea, either. This was a very high-energy session, the kids were excited, but not necessarily excited to sit still for the crazy lady with the big black thing in their faces, they really just wanted to run around and see the ducks!

Mom, this was the shot I’m pretty sure you didn’t think we captured. I was so excited when I saw it downloading!

Miss Personality was singing us a song here…at least it’s eye contact, right?

This guy was a ball of energy!

This was the one and only full family shot, and lucky for me I just happened to press the shutter at the proper time because the eye contact lasted only a second!

I love how this one turned out!

One of the few couples shots we managed while mom and dad were keeping their eye on the kids!

At the end, we even snuck onto the golf course for a quick shot, and only had about 1 minute before the sun dipped behind the hills!

I’m finishing up proofing this session from this fun couple, and I just had to share a few more.

Wow, I’ve been busy. It’s been almost a week since I met this adorable couple and I am just now managing to get a sneak peak up! Hopefully as I wrap up this all-consuming project for the preschool my schedule will get back to normal!

I loved meeting this couple, you could just feel the love between them! Despite being a bit hectic due to my schedule, it was a very fun shoot and I cannot get over how glowing and lovely she looks in each and every photo. Not to mention that perfectly adorable belly.

I just love this one with the hands.

We had a seriously beautiful evening to work with, and lucky for me they lived across from one of my favorite shooting locations.

I couldn’t resist a little fun with flare. Think maybe I’m obsessed with sunflare because I was born in the sun, but now live in such a rainy climate?
