Wow, I’ve been gone from the blog a long time, haven’t I? I have realized that I realllllly need that laptop. Time to hit the Mac Store!
Turns out that 24 hours after E’s newborn session, I had to leave town in a hurry because my sister was in labor down in Arizona! And I was supposed to be photographing the birth! So I got up and literally threw my clothes and suitcases (and kids) into the car and rushed to the airport. (Thank goodness we were using a standby pass on Southwest). After missing one flight and flying for most of the day, I landed in Tucson and my sister was STILL pushing! So far so good. I jumped in the waiting car and was rushing to the hosptial 20 minutes away, and about 1 mile from the hospital I got the call that baby had JUST been born. No way!!! I walked in the hospital room 15 minutes later, and was lucky enough to meet my brand, brand new niece, and be one of the first to hold her.
I was seriously bummed that I missed it, but I made up for it by taking lots of lots of pictures of her when brand new and in the first few weeks of life. You will be seeing lots of her on the blog in the next few weeks as I get caught up.
I also had a great family session down in Arizona that I can’t wait to edit. I know mom is anxiously awaiting them so that will be coming right up! Stay tuned!
And now back to sweet little E. I have had a ton of fun editing these, and have just finished up her session. Mom and Dad, I know you can’t wait to see them, so check your inbox this afternoon for the gallery link! Here are a few of my faves…
This might be one of my all-time fave newborn pics. Doesn’t she just look so peaceful?

Another one I’m really loving:

This was a special quilt

One of the cute new family

And one of Great-Grandma with her new great-granddaughter
