Here are a few facts about me that might help you get to know me a bit better before our session.

• * I love evening light….looooovve it! If I could shoot all my sessions in the evenings I’d be a happy camper.
• * I am also a night owl, and therefore really like to sleep in (though with two little ones this is not really possible) so as a result I feel like I haven’t slept in 5 years! My kids have figured out who is most likely to hop out of bed to get them going on their cereal first thing in the morning, and I’ll give you a hint (it’s not me). My husband is also my personal barista and lovingly refers to the beeping of the coffee pot when it finishes as “mommy’s alarm”.
• * I love to have fun at sessions and will often get a little wacky and crazy with your kids to help them loosen up. I promise it’s all for photography’s sake and you’ll thank me later.
• * Goes along with above, but I’m pretty laid back! Sessions will most likely be relaxed and fun (and I encourage it…relaxed families always make for better pictures, promise!)
• * I have two energetic preschool aged children, and a wonderfully supportive husband of almost 7 years, which makes for a very full and wonderful life. But it’s also a crazy life, much of the time. So if you call during the day and you hear kids running and screaming in the background, just know that this is how we roll around here. (And if it goes to voicemail, you might be able to guess why–email is easier during daytime hours for this reason)
• * I will probably come to our session in jeans and a ponytail. I’m pretty casual to begin with, and this way I have no problems laying down in the dirt to get that perfect shot (hopefully you won’t mind either, you will still look fabulous)
• * My drug of choice: Grande 2 pump hazelnut Latte (cinnamon scone makes it that much better)
• * I love all things pink and frilly and love dresing my little girl head to toe in pink. I love me some girlie clothes!
• * I don’t really dress like that though, I still pretty much wear jeans most of the time
• * I’m super chatty and could chat up almost anyone. Though I’m much less chatty when I’m shooting/working.
• * I will probably spend a good portion of my children’s lives trying to get that perfect shot of them together. This is more difficult than working with clients as my kids have severe PCS (photographer’s child syndrome). I think every photographer with kids knows what I mean.
