Here are just a couple from yet another gorgeous maternity session I shot last week! What a fun session! You can tell by the light that we had an insanely gorgeous evening to work with. I will definitely have to come back and share more of this session!

How cute is their little one? She was adorable with those big brown eyes, but wasn’t so sure about the camera lady at first…

What a gorgeous evening!  This is by the lake in Washington Park, it was just beautiful. I love the peaceful look on her face in this one.

I announced these special Holiday Sessions last week in my newsletter & on Facebook, and now I’m opening them up to my blog readers!  I’m excited for the 2010 Holiday Season and have some really beautiful Holiday Cards to share with you all.  I will be posting some samples of the awesome 2010 Holiday Cards in the next few weeks here on the blog, so be on the lookout!

Instead of shooting these all on one or two days, I decided to allow clients to book them whenever it fits into their schedules! Here is just one from an awesome maternity session downtown last week. This couple was the cutest ever, and so nice! We had a ton of fun laughing during our session (and even went for ice-cream). But at the very end we ended up in Cheesman Park right as the sun was setting. It was SO beautiful and this shot took my breath away right when I downloaded it! It doesn’t get much more beautiful than this evening. Denver is so beautiful!

I will share more when I crawl out from under my to-do list this week, but for now, here is one:

This mama-to-be told me during our session that she didn’t think she had “the glow”. I think she certainly did, and after seeing these I’m sure you will agree that she is absolutely glowing! She looks amazing!

This maternity session took place up in beautiful Evergreen, CO. I hadn’t ever been there and was really looking forward to our session. However, the afternoon of the session we had some crazy thunderstorms roll in, but thought that per the usual Colorado style, they would move on out by 7:00pm and we could get outside for some sunset shots. Well, we were sort of wrong in that it drizzled throughout much of the session! The sun did finally show itself for about 2 minutes at the end of our session, resulting in the following little gems! Some of my faves!

A & J, it was great meeting you both and you were troopers for going out in the rain! I hope you like your sneak peek and can’t wait to meet your little one soon!

Oh man, the sickies have hit our house in a major way this past week. And now it’s my turn. I hate being sick because once I’m better then I have twice as much to do to catch up! We have a busy mother’s day weekend (not to mention the clients I had to reschedule) so I need my health back ASAP!

Ok, on to these amazing products! I am long overdue to start sharing pictures of some of the awesome stuff I offer, so here goes.

First up are Gallery Mounts!  They are one of the favorite items that I offer! Lots of clients are in love with canvas (and rightly so, because they are beautiful) but another option that I love that is a bit less expensive is a Gallery Mount. These pieces come with an actual print mounted on a substrate that is about 1″ thick, and they standout from the wall just like a canvas would.  They look like a really heavy piece of art, but the best part is that when you go to pick them up they are actually light as a feather! This is a really tailored and modern way to display your images either alone with other framed prints, or in a wall gallery together!

In this example it is just sitting on a bookshelf but these look awesome mounted on the wall!!  This is a 16×20 and it honestly could have been quite a bit bigger!

Stay tuned for images of my gorgeous custom image boxes (that come with the full digital collections)! They are amazing and one of my favorite products! So far I’ve not managed to hold onto one long enough to take proper photos of it, but I now have my very own studio sample I can photograph to my hearts content. I will share that as soon as I get time (and get better!)

Here is a little sneak peak of what the new website will look like! I’m so excited to have larger pictures, and even better is the fact that it’s so easy to navigate!  I’ve taken all the information off of this new site, so any info about sessions/pricing/what to wear etc. will now be found on the blog. This is purely a portfolio site. (I decided to keep it simple!)  I have been told the site is now “live” and that it will take up to 72 hours to propagate throughout the internet, so if you don’t see it yet, keep checking back and it should be there within a day or two.   I still have tons of images to post in the various galleries, and will be adding to them in the coming weeks.

Wow, I can’t believe January is already gone. Where did the time go?  I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of my clients who helped make 2009 a fabulous year for me professionally. I really appreciate you and the trust you put in me to capture your family’s memories. I think you will see from the images below that I had some gorgeous subjects to work with. Lucky me!

As you know, we’ve left Portland and made our way to Denver (I think that has a lot to do with the month of January being a complete wash around here!).  It was a long drive, but the kids were troopers and we are slowly getting settled into our new home.  The kids (big kid, anyway) is in school and we are finding our way around. My office is a total disaster, but we are slowly digging our way out and I’m ready to blog and have a few fun things and a big announcement coming up on the blog!

First off, is it really September already? This summer really just flew by! I don’t know if it’s my age or whether it’s just my imagination, but it seems that every summer goes by faster than the last. Or maybe this summer was just filled with lots of fun and planning for the future.

Some of you might have noticed recently the words “Denver” popping up on my website and blog posts. I’m sure you wondered what was going on, and it’s finally time to explain!

Starting October 15, 2009, Laura Renee Photography will be based out of the Denver, CO area!! What does this mean for my Portland clients? Well, obviously I’ve loved getting to meet my amazing clients here in Portland and would hate to leave you all hanging when I go. So…I’ve decided to travel back to Portland every few months for some extra special sessions just for YOU! Make sure to check the blog regularly for updates on these sessions as I’ll have limited openings.

I’m planning to come back at some great times of the year: in the fall for those holiday portraits, in the spring, and in the summer. Wait, I missed winter. Oh yes, the rain. As the rain is one of the things that drove us from here, I have no plans to come back during rainy season. Contact me if you think that’s a problem. I’ll be keeping an interest list and contacting those people for date preferences, so if you are interested in being on that list please email me. laurareneephoto@gmail.com.

For this fall, I plan to hold some holiday mini-sessions in October for those Holiday Card shots! Stay tuned as I’ll be posting about that in the next day or so.
