I got to meet this sweet little one last week at just 11 days old, and he was an amazing sleeper for me! I kept messing with him and moving him around, and he just kept sleeping. What a cutie! Here are some of my favorite images from his session.

I met sweet baby L on day 9 of his life, and boy was he a cutie! You can just tell these parents are so in love with their new little man, and he was just so tiny and sweet! I don’t think he really wanted to sleep for me at first, but I managed to work my magic and he succumbed and slept like a champ! His nursery had amazing light, and isn’t his momma beautiful?

I can’t get over his sweet little pout!

I met up with these two sweeties on a windy, but unusually warm spring night! Baby brother L is 3 months old, and is a super sweetheart already! He gave me some huge smiles which was awesome! Big sister G is a great big sister and so easy to photograph, she made my job seriously easy!

I had the pleasure of meeting this little sweetheart a while back on his 5th day of life. He was so tiny and sweet, and had a bunch of dark hair that made him look like a little man already! Isn’t he the cutest? I didn’t even have to touch up his skin, it was seriously perfect and he had no blemishes whatsoever! (This is a great reason to have your newborn photographed before the 2 week mark, as that is when most babies develop the baby acne!)

I promised I would post my “good excuse” for why I’ve been a little MIA the last few months, so here it is!

My favorite picture of 2011, so far. “Baby W” #3 will be arriving sometime in September 2011!!

For clients, this means that I will likely stop taking sessions by around the first week of September, so if you are thinking of a fall/holiday family session again this year, please book early so we can get your session shot by the end of August! I may open up a few slots in late October/early November, depending on how I feel and the weather, and will probably resume newborns around the same time!

So I’ve totally dropped off the blogosphere since January, and I have a good excuse (see post coming up later this week).

Anyway, I am getting back into the swing of things, and had the cutest little twin boys for pictures a few weeks ago. The bigger twin M was 6 lbs and his “little” brother G was only 4 lbs! Teeny tiny! Luckily for me they were very good sleepers and we were able to get through a few different setups.

Mom and Dad sorry for the wait. I hope you guys love these, I do!

8 weeks new | Denver Baby Photographer

This little sweetheart was due in January, however, she decided to make her appearance very early, before Thanksgiving!

We had to wait until she was out of the NICU to hold her session, and we actually held it pretty close to when her due date was supposed to be! She was only about 7 pounds at the time of our session, so still a tiny little thing! Mom and Dad, it was lovely meeting you and your beautiful little girl. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak and the rest of your images will be ready soon!

Hawaii 2011 | Denver Family Photographer

This past weekend we got back from a fantastic (and much needed) family vacation to Kauai. It was wonderful. Despite what it looks like, I actually made an effort NOT to use my camera everyday. I only pulled it out a handful of times, so I could document my family’s first time to Kauai. But mainly I wanted to relax and recharge and not just take pictures the whole time so that I would be ready to get back to work and clients in 2011! And that definitely happened!!

This is a huge blog post, so I apologize in advance for the photo overload! I had a hard time culling them down, so here goes:

The first morning we arrived everyone was up before sunrise (about 5am) due to the time change. I am not a morning person so I took what might be my only chance left in 2010 to watch the sunrise…and over the beach no less.

This first set of 2 pictures was taken exactly 2 minutes apart with the same settings. Amazing how the sky changes colors so quickly!

Playing on the beach in the early morning light: The kids hadn’t seen the ocean the night before since it was dark, and the big guy actually went in the water with his clothes on that morning and got soaking wet (he loved it!) Oops! I had to explain to him that we would get our suits on after breakfast .

We were there over new years eve, and it was definitely something new and different to see fireworks on the beach. So pretty!

We saw Waimea Canyon, which was amazing. In the first picture we are at the end of the canyon looking at where the Napili Coast starts…

Princeville area (north side of the island). That mountain there behind the church is supposedly THE rainiest spot on earth. No joke!

This is the beach at the end of the road (you can’t go further because it’s the Napili coast (undriveable))

Tons of old trees on this beach that had their entire root system totally exposed by erosion, so cool.

Hanalei bay (home of Puff the Magic Dragon). We saw an endangered sea turtle here too, but I haven’t gotten to that picture yet! I’ll add it when I do.

A pirate for Christmas | Denver Child Photographer

My little man lost his first top tooth this morning!! It has been loose for a long time but yesterday it was literally looking like it might fall out at any second. So this morning it was hurting and he was having trouble talking, so momma did the dirty work and gave it a quick twist. He was very brave.

And now he truly looks like a real pirate, with 3 teeth missing. He’s quite excited about that.

I can’t believe how grown up he looks in these pictures. Where did my baby go? I can hardly believe it! And if he keeps this up, he will likely be singing “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” this year for real!
